January, February
The weather in New York for these two months is cold and wet. Temperatures, for this season can possibly range from 10-40 degrees Fahrenheit, but it's normally between 25-35 degrees. Include a wind chill and temperatures can dip below zero. Snow and /or sleet will be the common forecast for these months.
March, April
March temperatures can range from 30-50 degrees Fahrenheit, with 40 degrees being the average high. April is most likely to be in the 45-65 range. Consider yourself lucky if the temperature goes beyond 70 degrees, but that typically means a thunderstorm is on its way. One of the greatest times to be in New York is during an April "heat wave."
May, June
Spring usually means a lot less humidity and temperatures ranging between 50-80 degrees. June will occasionally produce a 90 degree day. Sometimes a humidity drenched heat wave can occur, but it feels some what invigorating the first time around.
July, August
Hot, humid, sticky, and uncomfortable. The normal temperatures can range from 70-95 degrees. 100 degree days have been known to pop up, but highs are normally in the mid to upper 80's. Be ready for about a 20 degree temperature spike in the subways. Be prepared because the heat will bring out the worst in subway odors.
September, October
These months start off hot and humid, but turn out ending rather chilly. From Sep 1st - Sep 20th, bring anticipate 70-80 degree weather. From Sep 21 - Oct 10, expect 70 degrees as a high temperature. Beyond those dates, expect the high temperatures to be range from the 50-70's. The temperatures for Halloween have been known to range from the upper 30's or lower 60's.
November, December
The highs in November range from 40-50 degrees in November. It drops to the 30-40 degree range in December. Although it's unlikely, temperatures can become warmer or colder in these areas.
